I'm Sara Castle and quilting is my passion!

     A little bit about me:   I began quilting in 1996 at the age of 50. Like so many quilters, I had a huge collection of scraps that I saved from home-sewing projects.

     Around this time, quilt clubs, fabric stores, and books became a huge industry, and I found a local quilt club where I got a lot of advice and encouragement.

     Soon I was designing my own quilts and became an addict, completing at least one quilt a week. I was piecing so many quilts that I could no longer afford to send them out to be professionally quilted, nor did I enjoy quilting the larger ones on my domestic sewing machine.

      To my delight, my husband agreed to adding a studio to our house, complete with a long-arm quilting machine. So now I spend all my time in my wonderful studio by Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas.
